Big Bang Startup Challenge, Türkiye’s largest entrepreneurship event organised every year by ITU Çekirdek, the incubation centre of ITU ARI Teknokent, is preparing to create a next wave in the entrepreneurship world this year. This year's motto of the event, which will be held on 18-19 December at UNIQ Istanbul and is open to everyone, is "Lead the Future". The presentations of the startups taking to the Big Bang stage will be stream live to global investors. As the "World's Best University Incubation Centre", ITU Çekirdek provides 360-degree support to entrepreneurs, opens global market channels for their products and services, and provides all the services needed for rapid growth. With the Big Bang Startup Challenge, ITU Çekirdek brings together the technology startups that will lead the future with the investment world, the public and the media. This year's Big Bang, themed "The Next Wave", will take place on 18-19 December at UNIQ Istanbul. The event will pave the way for the top 50 startups to receive awards and investments. As in previous years, the event will be hosted by M. Serdar Kuzuloğlu. For the first time, the startups' presentations will be broadcast live to global investors. Last year, Big Bang provided a record-breaking TL 1.28 billion in prizes, cash and investment support to startups, and this year's event is expected to provide even more resources. The event at UNIQ Istanbul will bring together thousands of attendees interested in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation to share in the excitement.
Support for startups grows exponentially every year
ITU Çekirdek Incubation Centre, with its mission as an Impactful Incubation Centre, continues to support the entrepreneurship ecosystem, contributing millions of dollars in value to the Turkish economy by supporting an average of 500 startups annually. In 13 years, ITU Çekirdek has nurtured 4,500 technology startups and helped 1,600 of them to become companies. These startups have created jobs for 11,000 people and received over $270 million in investments. In 2022, ITU Çekirdek provided TL 341 million in awards, cash and investment support to startups in the Big Bang stage and increased this by 3.5 times to TL 1.28 billion in 2023.

Hundreds of startups that were supported by ITU Çekirdek and developed their technologies have accelerated their growth by winning awards and investments on the Big Bang stage, becoming global success stories. These startups include companies that have built distribution networks in more than 40 countries, received investments from Silicon Valley, disrupted industries and are seen as future unicorns. As in previous years, Big Bang 2024 is expected to produce some of the most talked-about startups of the year.
