The 18th cohort of the Innogate International Acceleration Program, which has been supporting local technology firms aiming to go global for 10 years under the leadership of ITU ARI Teknokent, concluded its comprehensive training in Turkey with a two-week period in London. This year, 13 Turkish technology firms participated in the program, conducted with the support of the Ministry of Trade’s Tech-Accelerator Export Projects Support. After receiving training, mentorship, and coaching from global experts in their fields for six weeks in Turkey, the firms took a significant step in June to explore the UK market and establish contacts.
Thirteen Turkish technology firms participated in the 18th cohort of the Innogate International Acceleration Program, managed by ITU ARI Teknokent in partnership with NBT Digital, aiming to sustain the success of local technology firms in global markets. The first step of the six-week program took place in Turkey. During the preparation period for the UK, firms received training, mentorship, and coaching from global experts in their fields. From June 3rd to 14th, as the second step of the program, they traveled to the UK to explore the market firsthand and engage in a packed schedule. After the daily morning meetings, firms participated in roundtable discussions, establishing new connections and meeting potential customers.
242 Firms Gained Access to Potential Customers through the Innogate Program
Over the past 10 years, 242 local technology firms have had the opportunity to reach potential customers in global markets through the Innogate International Acceleration Program. Since 2014, 144 firms have benefited from the global phase of the program. Of these, 118 firms have entered the US market, and 13 firms have entered the UK market, with the total investment amount received post-program reaching 41 million dollars.
ITU ARI Teknokent Expands Global Programs with Innogate
Prof. Dr. Attila Dikbaş, General Manager of ITU ARI Teknokent, highlighted that Innogate provides unique content and techniques for developing business models suitable for new markets and global marketing/sales to technology firms. He stated, "Through the program, which has contributed to 242 firms in the global arena for 10 years, we establish a connection between local and global. In the UK phase of this cohort, where 13 local firms participated, our firms developed their business networks and attended one of the world's most important technology events, London Tech Week. Motivated by witnessing numerous success stories with Innogate, we at ITU ARI Teknokent will continue to expand the scale of Innogate to ensure our firms have a broader network. During the UK training period, we visited the Turkish Embassy in London, exchanging information about the 18th Innogate Cohort and ITU ARI Teknokent’s upcoming global platform program with Ambassador Mr. Koray Ertas. We are completing the final steps to expand the scope of the Innogate program and develop global platform programs. Soon, in addition to the UK, we will announce our other hubs."
