50 Startups to Compete, Meet Million Liras, Entrepreneurship Ecosystem to Close 2023 with Great Momentum

The highly anticipated program of the Big Bang Startup Challenge, which will be held by ITU Çekirdek at Uniq Istanbul on December 13-14 this year with the motto "Dream, Dare, Do" and where 50 startups in 8 different sectoral verticals will take the stage, has been announced. Mustafa Sandal will energize the event with a special concert and there will be an All Star stage where three startups, whose paths have passed through the Big Bang in the past years and who have grown with the investments they have received and are now open to the world, will share their success stories.

The program of the Big Bang Startup Challenge, where ITU Çekirdek, the incubation center that offers 360-degree support to entrepreneurs aiming to commercialize their technological products and services, brings the best startups together with the public, has been determined. On December 13 and 14, the 50 best startups of the year will make their presentations in 8 different sectoral verticals (Energy, Digital Arts, ITU Seed, Online Marketplace & Online Platform, Automotive & Mobility, Insurance & Good Life, Sustainability & Smart Cities, Artificial Intelligence & Blockchain) at the Big Bang, the Stage of the Brave, where "The Braves" theme is at the forefront.

One of the innovations awaiting the participants at the event this year will be the All Star stage. Three startups that have passed through ITU Çekirdek and Big Bang stages in the past years and have gone global with the investments they have received will share their experiences on the stage. At the Big Bang, which hosts the entrepreneurship ecosystem, participants will have the opportunity to expand their network as well as meet many technological innovations with the startup booths and experience areas to be established in the foyer area. The Big Bang event, which announced more than 341 million TL in awards, investments and cash support to startups in the previous year and has witnessed dozens of success stories so far, will be open to all technology enthusiasts and will be organized free of charge.

On the first day of the two-day Big Bang, which will be hosted by M. Serdar Kuzuloğlu this year, the TOP 50 startups will be divided into sectoral verticals and make their presentations, while the awards and investments of the startups will be announced on the second day. At the Big Bang Startup Challenge, where the famous artist Mustafa Sandal will also give a special concert, the excitement and enthusiasm will never diminish with the special show of Berk Karan and Çağla Alkan from TuzBiber Stand-up team, special dance shows of DansFabrika team and DJ performance.

The total valuation of ITU Çekirdek startups reached 1.5 billion dollars

ITU Çekirdek Incubation Center, which supports an average of 500 startups every year and creates millions of dollars of added value for the Turkish economy, has supported more than 4,200 technology startups for more than 10 years and contributed to the incorporation of 1,400 of them. The total valuation created by the startups within ITU Çekirdek, which supported the startups to create employment for 10,000 people and receive 150 million dollars of investment, reached 1.5 billion dollars.

Big Bang opens global doors for startups

For 12 years, hundreds of startups that have developed their technologies with the support of ITU Çekirdek have accelerated with the awards and investments they received on the Big Bang stage and reached global success stories. Among these startups, there are startups that have established a distribution network in more than 40 countries, received investments from Silicon Valley, changed sectors and are the unicorn candidates of the future. As in previous years, Big Bang 2023 is expected to give birth to startups that will be talked about a lot.
